HICA is a premier organization established 1991 to give impetus to the domestic Home Insecticides sector, to facilitate the members of the Association for the overall safety of the environment and to educate the public about the healthy and proper use of the home insecticides for a pest free life, and to introduce self-regulation and governance by the member industry.

MISSION STATEMENT

“To be recognized as the premier organization established to grow the consumer Home Insecticides sector, to facilitate the members of the Association for the overall safety of the environment, and to educate the households about the healthy and proper use of the Home insecticides, and Introduce self-regulation and governance by the member industry”.

Aims and Objectives in brief:

• To render services to the society at large, especially to make known the contribution of the member industry to the health and welfare of the community, and to assist and co-operate with the govt. authorities, and public bodies and similar associations.
• To take up all problems and issues of the member industry with the government and its authorized agencies.
• To co-ordinate with CIB and RC and the concerned authorities to bring to their attention the grievances of the HICA members and to redress them.
• HICA is a focused platform to voice the domestic insecticide manufacturers for the overall interest of its members to help to provide better service to domestic consumers for their health and to guard them against the disease bearing insects and pests in the society.
• To collect and maintain warehouse of data and value added information on this sector for the benefit of its members and the general public as when required.
• To assist its members in the promotion of joint business ventures / mutually beneficial business linkages that encourage business and trade.

What HICA can do?

• Assist in negotiation, compliance of legal and procedural and redressel of industry issues and grievances of members with CIBRC, Govt authoritesetc etcetc.
• Facilitate survey / study market intelligence / demand of products .
• Lead business and trade development & fact finding missions to other countries to understand their systems & practices.
• Enter into MoUs with similar associations / Chambers / Industry Groups abroad.
